We had South hills movers move us from Pa to Fl. We paid for the full replacement cost insurance just to be safe. Well they did some severe damage to my toolbox and they damaged our dryer along with other items.They are playing games trying to pay deprecated prices for the damaged items. These people are so nice when they come to get your stuff and so so when they deliver but really give you the runaround when it comes time to pay for the damages that they did! I would NOT recommend them. I usually don’t do reviews but in this case I feel that people need to know what to expect from South Hills Movers

We are very pleased with the service we received from South Hills Movers. Steve was an excellent communicator about how the move will happen and on target estimator of the cost due to his lengthy experience. Jill was great at followup emails and answering last minute questions. The moving team truly cared about doing a careful job and the truck arrived on time!!! We greatly appreciate the willing attitude that everyone expressed and the kindness and thoughtfulness of the men who did the packing and loading and unloading. We would gladly recommend SH Movers without a doubt.

My movers, Jamie and Bill (hope I got their names right) were great. They are conscientious, knowledgeable, and professional. They took time to do everything right. The people in the office, like Harry in sales, are a pleasure to deal with. And the price was very good for moving two rooms of furniture from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh.

We were very pleased with the incredibly efficient and smooth process of our move today with Jeff and team. We were worried about everything from the access to the house on a narrow street to potential confusion when moving items to both a temporary apartment and your storage. They handled it all in a professional and cheerful manner which is not always easy to come by these days. On top of all that they helped me to make the best use of our very small temporary space. Work was completed in less time than estimated. We will be moving again to our permanent home and hope we get the same great team.

I am just very disappointed with what happened. We were planning on moving on a set date and never gave another date as an option. They came to our home and looked around and gave an estimate. The employee was very friendly, as is their staff. She sent the estimate in a timely manner but when I was called to reserve the date it was mentioned that it was a weekday rate. We are moving on a Saturday and it is considered “overtime”. Never once did we say we wanted a weekday. The employee that came to our home mentioned a weekday move to save a few hundred dollars but we never asked for a weekday. They didn’t even offer to keep our price the same and expected us to pay 300 more dollars for a mistake that they made on their own. That’s just bad business in my opinion. Make sure you are very thorough with your date and moving needs. Now we are in a scramble to find someone reasonable.
