What you should know:
SimpliSafe is a cutting edge home security company that focuses on letting the customer truly customize their system based on their unique needs and wants. With easy-to-install equipment, it focuses on giving you the power.
PROS:
60 DAYS!
SimpliSafe is one of the few companies out there that allows you to have a 60-day trial period. From the minute you get your equipment, you will have 60 full days to decide if it meets your expectations. If you decide that it does not, simply send it back for a full refund.
NO to contracts
No commitment phobia here! While some home security companies have mandatory contracts, some lasting up to 3 years long, SimpliSafe takes the anxiety out of your purchase by not forcing contracts in your face at all. This method allows you to truly stay in control throughout the entire process. Not only do you decide on the equipment you want but you can cancel your subscription at any time without the fear of early termination fees.
YES to being affordable
With monthly monitoring plans ranging from $14.99 to $24.99 a month, SimpliSafe makes home security easy for most. In an industry where some companies charge as much as $60 monthly, calling this service a bargain is an understatement.

CONS:
No Home Automation
Home automation is a feature that gives you the power to turn of lights, adjust the thermostat and even lock doors when you’re out of town. Sadly, SimpliSafe doesn’t offer this feature. So, if you’re someone who rushes to the airport and often forgets to do the aforementioned things, SimpliSafe may not be right for you.
Mostly Indoor Only
What? No outdoor cameras? Unfortunately, SimpliSafe only has high level technology for indoor cameras. If you are worried about the outside of your home and need a company with both indoor/outdoor camera capability, this isn’t the right option for you and your family. Currently, the only outdoor camera option available is a video doorbell – perfect for seeing who drops off packages etc.
Limited Smart Home Integration
If you’re looking forward to connecting your security cameras to Alexa, Google Home or any of your favorite apps, SimpliSafe may limit you more than you want. While it does give you a lot of bang for your buck in other areas, its integration to smart apps needs some work.
