New World Van Lines Review

Excellent company to consider for moving, especially cross country. The company bent over backwards to ensure the smoothest move when I relocated my office from Orlando to Chicago. I chose them because they had the Chicago location and were recommended by a friend who had a good experience with them. They packed the goods so well that I had zero damage to my office equipment and inventory. The price was very reasonable and the team they sent was very professional and accommodating. I could not ask for a better experience. I would use them again in a heart beat!

Great company overall but the O/O division is still flawed for the transportation side of things. Great dispatchers and most staff is very helpful and professional. Love Steve, Brian, Raykwan, and Eric . My business plans operating cost is a little more than what they pay. It’s possible to be successful and I saw the potential but I was dealt a bad hand because my truck had issues from the start. I unfortunately had the worst truck. I had over $8,000 in repairs and stayed negative for 3 months straight with all of the down time and repairs. Unfortunately due to the unfortunate events I don’t feel like it was fair for me to have to pay for someone else to have a good running truck. I wasn’t even given my escrow back. I decided going company was best for me and I was denied. For legal purposes I understand. Overall it’s the best company I’ve worked for but it’s one of those situations where you work at Louis Vuitton but you can’t shop there regularly if it makes sense. Most drivers do make money but I will gladly come back once the transportation side is reconstructed and I’m given a better truck or I buy my own. Would give 5 stars but I didn’t have a very good experience and it was probably a good business decision to deny helping me versus actually being more compassionate that I literally lost everything in my life trying to be loyal. Business is business and that’s the harsh reality.

Horrible Experience.

We used New World Van Lines for a cross-country full service move including packing and unpacking. While the movers in both ends were very nice and professional, the rest of the move was the opposite.

1. Almost 10% of our items (10 boxes) were lost during the move including very personal items.
2. Movers damaged our condo in Chicago and acknowledge that; However, the office has declined my claim and refused to pay for damages. They ended up paying for 30% of the damage after I escalated. They confirmed that the other 10 boxes are lost and they cant find them.
3. I had to speak with over 4 people about the move, each one of them has a separate role. No one person contact which is annoying.
4. A few pieces furniture were damaged including a sizable part broken of our bed headboard.
5. We are in the process of insurance claim. Their responses to the insurance comapny are completely not true which is absurd.


I would never use this company again. Worst moving experience (and the most expensive) that I ever had. If you are already booked, make sure that you document all conversations – it is extremely important.

It was my 1st time for my family and I using a professional moving company, we were assigned with them by our relocation company. I cannot express enough in words how grateful I am about the whole process. To be honest, I wasn’t thrilled and I was a little nervous about having strangers go through my personal things, also moving from Texas to Phoenix, AZ right before summer (from very hot to extreme hot) was awful. But for 3 days Ryan Gaboff (truck driver) and his 2 helpers in Texas took my mind off. They truly became a part of our family for 3 days, very friendly staff, I had a several things that has sentimental value in my house that I was worried about. I mentioned them to Ryan and oh, boy they took care of it and exceeded my expectations. I felt bad that they did everything by themselves, I even offered to help but Ryan said “Ma’am it is your time to just relax and not worry about anything, we are here to take care of it” Those guys can move so fast. And they work REALLY HARD. Sometimes I read bad reviews, while bad costumer service can take a place, I strongly believe… when you give the best of you, give better attitude and appreciate peoples’ hard work, who take care of your personal belongings in their best way that they been trained for and your interest – it will be reciprocated for your own benefit. Bottom line, all our stuff were delivered faster than I expected, and most surprising thing (even though I expected somethings to not make it in one piece) – nothing broke! It was amazing, we did not need to claim anything with our insurance policy. On top of that I learned that after unpacking the remaining boxes that new world van lines will come back and pick up the empty boxes, because there was lots of boxes in my garage, and I needed my garage to park our cars inside because of AZ heat. And after we made a call another couple of amazing new world employees came in and showed another professionalism in their work. This time it was the General Manager in Phoenix location, Nael Hammad with his crew. Same great experience! I was very tired that time of unpacking, missing Texas and my friends, Phoenix heat made it even worse. I was feeling isolated and miserable in a new place and knowing no-one yet. They were so nice, talked to me, made me feel welcomed in a new city. And not only they took New world boxes but some empty boxes that I received from Amazon, that was a nice touch. The GM was very nice, he gave me some advices what to do and where to visit in Phoenix. Just positive vibe were glowing out of them and it made it easier on me that day, knowing people do care. And I’m telling you, those people work hard and sweat under 115 Fand they still have a joy on their face. I would give a 10 stars if I could to the new world van lines and especially those people who seems really trying their best in what they do! Thanks Nael, Ryan, and the crew. And thank you new world for having experienced hard working people moving your customers. If I ever move again I know who I’m moving with!

I moved from Florida to Seattle with New World Van Lines and had a stellar experience. The moving teams were always super professional, fast and on time. They were meticulous in packing and unpacking and wow, they are fast. My move was coordinated by Vernita and she was always super responsive and organized the move every step of the way. They also checked-in with me via phone during move days to ensure everything is running smoothly. I could not have asked for a better service. I have been through at least 10 personal moves with New World and I can’t recall any damage. What I do recall are the smiles, hard work, and attention to detail of all the moving professionals involved. Now that I am in a position to hear about other customer’s experiences with New World, it makes me smile when nearly all of them let me know how professional, hard-working, and polite they found their crew, and how the overall experience exceeded their expectations. I am proud to be part of the New World Van Lines team.
